Meet Dr. Grant Woo
Dr Grant graduated from UBC’s dental program in 1991. He was chosen amongst 17 applicants for the General Practice Residency position at BC Children’s Hospital. He wanted to change the current image of dentistry that a visit to the dentist is scary and painful.
Dr Grant built his practice on family care with orthodontics and pediatric care. But as his patients got older, his dental focus changed to more cosmetic dental care and full mouth rehabilitations. In other words, instead of sending patients to all different dental specialists; Dr Grant can do most necessary procedures to building your mouth back to health and beauty.
Over the many years as a dentist, he realized the current framework of Dentistry results in treatment of the tooth separate from the rest of the body. His belief of Integrated healthcare has placed Dr. Grant on a path of herbal medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Restorative medicine. He has found herbals to be a life changing improvement in his own health and wants to share the knowledge of herbals in his dental practice. He is also an active member of the International academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology; the organization where he received his SMART certification. Dr. Grant is a certified practitioner in NightLase laser therapy to treat snoring and Sleep apnea.
Dr. Grant attributes his success in dentistry to a belief in putting patients’ needs first and foremost. He has dedicated himself to a lifetime of continuing dental education. Along with being a general dentist; he has a focus in areas of dental sleep apnea and laser dentistry. He is so very thankful for the trust his patients give him each and every day.
